Iran, China sign environment cooperation agreement



Officials from Iran and China signed an agreement in Beijing on Monday to cooperate on environment protection.

The agreement was signed by Iran’s Department of Environment chief Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh and China’s Minister of Environment Protection Zhou Shengxian.

Speaking to the Persian service of IRNA, Mohammadizadeh said that the two countries had not signed such an agreement before, but mutual cooperation in the area of environment will be promoted by the agreement.
