Iran’s trade balance with 88 countries positive

Iran’s trade balance with 88 countries was positive in the first eleven months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, 2013, the Iranian Customs Administration reported.

Iran conducted $80.159 billion in trade of non-oil goods with other countries during the 11-monthperiod, according to the report.

The country exported $37.363 billion worth of non-oil goods, including gas condensates, and imported $42.796 billion of non-oil goods.

Exports fell by 1.52 percent in value, but rose by 15.73 percent in volume compared to the same period in the previous year.

Iron ore concentrate, liquefied propane, and bitumen were the main goods exported, and rice, soy meal, and corn were the main items imported.

China, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates were the three top importers of Iranian goods during the period. The three countries imported $6.582 billion, $5.265 billion, and $3.237 billion worth of Iranian goods, respectively.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates, China, and India were the leading exporters of goods to Iran. They exported $9.246 billion, $8.407 billion, and $3.728 billion worth of goods to Iran.
