(FNA)- A high-ranking Iranian parliamentary delegation left Tehran for France earlier today to confer on the latest regional and international developments, and explore new ways to promote Tehran-Paris ties.

The Iranian parliamentary team, led by Chairman of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi, is to hold talks with French lawmakers and other senior officials during the three-day visit.

In February, French Ambassador to Tehran Bruno Foucher said his country is ready to broaden its trade cooperation with Iran.

The envoy said the French delegation of more than 100 businessmen visiting Iran is preparing the grounds for more trade ties between Tehran and Paris.

Foucher noted that more French companies and enterprises are willing to invest in Iran.
