(FNA)- Boko Haram Takfiri militants on Saturday staged an attack on Nigeria's Northeastern Dindikowa town.

Riding several Hilux vans, terrorists reportedly arrived in the town as early as 7a.m. and started shooting, World Bulletin reported.

"I was on my way to town when the problem started and I went back home," said Saidu Umar, a local resident.

The Chadian army pushed back an overnight attack by the Boko Haram terrorist group on Ngouboua village yesterday, leaving several militants dead.

"The offensive was soon repelled by the army," a military source said.

"They came on board three canoes and succeeded in killing about ten people before being pushed back by the army," said a resident of the village of Ngouboua on the shores of Lake Chad.
