(FNA)- The ISIL Takfiri terrorist group is now using under-aged children to spy on civilians in public spaces in Mosul, Northern Iraq, local Kurdish officials disclosed.

Saeed Muslim, a Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) official from Mosul, told BasNews that the ISIL militants have appointed scores of children to monitor people’s activities in every neighborhood of the city.

“The children report information about those who speak suspiciously on the phone in public,” Muslim said. “The children are mostly about 10 to 15 years old and they receive a little money for the intelligence gathering.”

It is known that most of the targets in Mosul are being acquired through information locals provide to the anti-ISIL forces, risking their lives in doing so.
