The President’s Welcome

Iranian Diplomacy is an international relations and foreign policy research center. My colleagues have started their activity since February 2007 in Tehran to launch the institute.

Several years of experience as an executive along with my responsibility in foreign diplomacy system has created the motive and feeling of necessity to establish such an institution in the cyberspace.

The website is established to be a place for an exchange of ideas and thoughts between political pundits, as well as presenting solutions on international issues from an independent viewpoint and consulting to decision makers in the scope of foreign policy. In addition, depicting a correct image of Iran free from hostility, bias, misunderstanding or any other reason causing incorrect imagination has been another motive for us.

Iranian Diplomacy is an independent institution, which acts within the framework of Islamic Republic of Iran's regulations, its expenses being supplied through website advertisements and people's aid. Apart from Persian, which is the official language of Iran, and some of the countries in the region and Iranian Plateau, its articles can be read in English (and also Arabic and French in case of necessity).

Iranian Diplomacy enjoys the collaboration, consultation and knowledge of a group of Iranian experts, politicians, and experienced high-ranking diplomats as well as a team of skilful researchers, authors, and journalists. My colleagues and I have started our task here with hopes to establish an atmosphere for mutual understanding and sustainable peace, and a look toward the philanthropic idea of 'dialogue between cultures & civilizations'.

Receiving your kindly comments and recommendations would be an honor in our minor step towards expansion and protection of national interests as well as global peace.

Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Kharrazi

About Iranian Diplomacy

Having been launched into operation in Tehran since February 2007, Iranian Diplomacy is a web-based research and analysis centre for international relations and foreign policy. Iranian Diplomacy enjoys the collaboration and consultation of well-experienced and well-informed Iranian specialists and pundits and tries to feed analysts, researchers, decision makers, authorities and others interested in this field with its scientific and research products aimed at supporting national interests as well as global peace.

In addition to Iranians inside the country or abroad, Iranian Diplomacy seeks its readership on a larger scale which encompasses audience from countries of Central Asia and Caucuses such as Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and parts of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, as well as parts of Iraq and some Persian Gulf states, where strong cultural ties with Iran’s civilization and history are conspicuous.

Iranian Diplomacy represents the ideas of a group of realist, moderate, Iranian intellectuals and tries to portray an accurate and correct image of contemporary Iran to the world instead of selective, biased images. Iranian Diplomacy is an independent institution, which abides the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iranian Diplomacy enjoys the collaboration of a group of Iranian experts, politicians, and well-experienced, high-ranking diplomats as well as a team of skillful researchers and authors.
