President`s Letter

Iranian Diplomacy is an international relations and foreign policy research center, founded and based in Tehran in 2007.
Several years of experience as an executive, along with my responsibilities in Iranian foreign policy circles, formed the motive to establish a unique Iranian institution with an active presence in cyberspace.
The website is a forum for the exchange of ideas and thoughts between pundits, as well as an avenue to present solutions to international questions and issues from an independent viewpoint, and to provide consultation to decision makers in the field of foreign policy. Presenting a true image of Iran—free from hostility, bias, misunderstanding, or any other prejudice that can give an incorrect impression of the country—has been another driving motive for us.
Iranian Diplomacy is an independent institution, which acts within the framework of the Islamic Republic of Iran`s regulations.
Its expenses being are met through website advertising and philanthropic donations.Apart from Persian, which is the official language of Iran (and some of the countries in the region and the Iranian Plateau), its articles can be read in English (as well as Arabic and French in some instances).
Iranian Diplomacy enjoys the collaboration, consultation and knowledge of a group of Iranian experts, politicians, and experienced high-ranking diplomats, as well as a team of skilful researchers, authors, and journalists. My colleagues and I began our wok here with hopes to establish an atmosphere for mutual understanding and sustainable peace, and with a view to the noble concept of `dialogue between cultures & civilizations`.
We welcome hearing from our readers—your comments and recommendations will contribute greatly to our efforts to expand and protect national interests, as well as to the lofty goal of global peace in our time.
Ambassador Seyyed Mohammad Sadegh Kharrazi Tehran, Iran

About Iranian Diplomacy
Having launched in Tehran in February of 2007, Iranian Diplomacy is a web-based research and analysis centre for international relations and foreign policy.Iranian Diplomacy enjoys the collaboration and consultation of highly experienced and well-informed Iranian specialists and pundits, and feeds analysts, researchers, decision makers, authorities, and others interested in this field with its scientific and research products aimed at supporting national interests as well as global peace.
In addition to Iranians inside the country or abroad, Iranian Diplomacy seeks readership on a larger scale, one that encompasses audiences from the countries of Central Asia and the Caucuses such as Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and parts of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, as well as parts of Iraq and some Persian Gulf states where strong cultural ties with Iran`s civilization and history are conspicuous.
Iranian Diplomacy represents the ideas of a group of realist, moderate Iranian intellectuals, and seeks to present an accurate image of contemporary Iran to the world rather than the selective, biased images we are so accustomed to seeing.
Iranian Diplomacy is a fully independent institution not affiliated with any government agency, and abides by the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
