President: Iran needs no nuclear weapon

IRIB - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that the brave Iranian nation does not need nuclear weapon because such weapons belong to those lacking in culture and dignity.

 

President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a speech to local people in Pakdasht in the vicinity of Varamin in Tehran province.

 

Bullying powers try to create obstacles in the way of Iran’s progress and development as the country is now regarded as harbinger of peace and justice in the world, he said.

 

Those whose arsenals are full of nuclear warheads accuse Iran of attempting to build atomic bombs, he said.

 

They seek to find various excuses to obstruct Iran’s nuclear and scientific progress, Ahmadinejad said.

 

The President said Iran does not need nuclear weapons because they are possessed by those who have massacred native American inhabitants and took control of the country by force, underlined President Ahmadinejad.

 

On the position of Basij (voluntary force) in the society, President Ahmadinejad said Basij is the manifestation of rendering services to humanity.

 

During Sacred Defense era, all witnessed that Basiji forces sacrificed their lives to maintain people’s welfare, security, independence and dignity, he said.

 

This is among duties of Basiji to be kind to people and seek justice while defending the legitimate rights of the nation and strongly dealing with global arrogance, said President Ahmadinejad.

 

He strongly condemned the global arrogance and ill-wishers who try to create problems for human beings in their struggles to attain perfection, he said.

 

The Iranian people should conctribute to reconstruction of the country, underliened the Iranian President.
