Musts to Nowadays Iran in Current Situation
IRD: The tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia is not a new story. Iranian-Arab conflict has historical roots and occasionally it is seen in the form of a conflict or critical position. However, what is certain is that from a logical viewpoint in foreign policy decision-making, when between the two countries there is a conflict of interest, it must be decided based on accurate and objective knowledge about the environment of the conflict and crisis. In other words, to find solutions to the conflict, we should not act hastily and not adopt a strategy regardless of objective realities.

When all the people in the Middle East and North Africa; from Morocco and Algeria to Syria, Yemen and Bahrain, have called for freedom, and all the Middle Eastern people have protested to achieve that freedom, it appears that some people are attempting to change the perception of the real problem. Thus, we see that already in the region issues synthetically become relevant that were previously not even considered. Highlighting the differences considered irrelevant for years is an approach seen in the region. This approach is nothing but a fallacy, designed to change people's orientation. The approach is devised to distract people from their demands, i.e. democracy and freedom, and their fight against dictators dominant in the countries.

Distracting the minds of the people from the main purpose is an old method practiced throughout history and now in the Middle East. In each period, the subject to distract the people’s mind from the main purpose has been different. Nearly three decades ago, the Iran-Iraq war and Arab-Ajam issue was raised in the same way; in the time when Arab versus Ajam was introduced.

In that period, due to the occurrence of the Islamic Revolution and the revolutionary approaches of Iran, Iran's relations with most of the Western countries including America, Britain, France, Germany, etc., were deteriorating and hostile. The countries that have influence in the Persian Gulf region were preparing the groundwork to create such a dichotomy and by stimulating the Arabs against Iran, the Persian Gulf Arab states backed Iraq. From the same viewpoint, in the Iran-Iraq war, they supported Iraq, although later when Saddam invaded Kuwait, they found their policy to have been incorrect. Now, the goal is the same and the scenario may be subject to change, but the goal is the same as the past- to distract the minds of people seeking freedom and democracy and to raise other subjects in the prevailing atmosphere.

If the approach is right, our country first should know it, and its goal should be to not get played. Moreover, the response to events in the ME and the approach adopted by the Arab countries should not be sentimental, but by understanding the situation, we should react rationally against whatever action. The circumstances that led to such events must be analyzed and according to this analysis, Iran should try to calm the atmosphere. If the atmosphere is calmed, the people of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, Syria and other countries seeking liberal demands can continue their struggle to achieve their historic rights.

Whether we want to or not, if we get played and enter this conflict- which can be political and even military- in the region, the result will definitely not be in favor of the people. The Islamic republic of Iran has the belief that the people of these countries are fighting against dictatorships that are dominating them. If this is true, we should not choose a way that leads to the defeat of these movements and will ultimately harm the people of the Middle East . That is why more than ever we need to try to control the situation and not to lose track of affairs.
