ISNA--The Head of Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi rejected reports on arrest of a PKK leader.

Boroujerdi in an interview with ISNA dismissed some press reports quoting him as saying that Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has captured another PKK leader.

Boroujerdi added he had received the report from Turkish press and that these sources should be used to verify the authenticity of the report.

Turkish television channel TRT-Turk and the Turkish website of Zaman newspaper reported on Saturday that the head of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), Murat Karayilan, had been captured by Iranian forces in the mountains of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The Iranian lawmaker also praised IRGC performance on pursuit of elements involved in Iran-Turkey gas pipeline blast and said, "it was a successful measure by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian nation had expected the IRGC to act firmly against any PJAK terrorist move."
