IRIB - IRI Foreign Ministry on Tuesday summoned the Turkish Ambassador to Iran over an armed attack on an Iranian bus on Turkish soil which led to wounding of some passengers.

 

Foreign Ministry also handed to him an objection letter in protest at failure of the relevant Turkish officials to follow up the case.

 

In his meeting with the Turkish envoy, the head of the Immigrants Department at the Foreign Ministry denounced the attack and reminded the Turkish diplomat of the responsibility of the Ankara government to protect the life and properties of Iranian citizens in that country.

 

The Ambassador was also demanded to convey Tehran’s displeasure and objection to Ankara and ask the government to arrest any perpetrators behind the attack.

 

For his part, the ambassador of Turkey promised to immediately convey the objection of the Iranian government to Ankara.
