Kurdish festival screening Iranian films

Tehran Times -- Iranian films have lined up for screening at the Sulaimany Kurdish Film Festival, which is currently underway at the Tawar Hall in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.

 

Three feature films along with 14 short movies created by Iranian directors are going on screen during the festival which will run until December 31.

 

“Passion of Charlie” by Alireza Sa’adatnia, “Sun behind the Cloud” by Reza Sobhani and “Mandoo” by Ebrahim Saeidi are feature films scheduled to be screened at the event.

 

Fourteen short films including “The Sound of Rain” by Jalal Saedpanah, “Going…” by Salem Salavati, “Pomegranate Is a Heavenly Fruit” by Teymur Qaderi, “Hima” by Tofiq Amani and “The Sea Was Mine One Day” by Sasan Farrokhnia are among the lineup.

 

The festival features eight films and 25 short movies by directors from Iran, Turkey, Iraq and other countries. The best film will be awarded with the festival’s Golden Gazelle.
