IRIB - Spokesman for the Velayat-90 naval war games said Tuesday that all the planned objectives of the drills were fulfilled.

Spokesman for the Velayat-90 naval war games said Tuesday that all the planned objectives of the drills were fulfilled.

Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, Deputy Navy Commander, told IRNA that the ten-day naval exercises were a valuable experience that displayed Iran’s strength in the international waters.

During the war games, the naval forces targetted the hypothetical enemies and destroyed them successfully, he added.

For the first time, three super modern missiles of Qader, Nasr and Nour were tested, said Mousavi, adding that they could successfully destroy the targets.

Iran’s naval drills, which concluded Monday evening, began in the Hormuz Strait, including waters in the Sea of Oman and free waters in the Indian Ocean up to Gulf of Aden.
