IRI to unveil maritime patrol aircraft – DM

IRIB - The Islamic Republic of Iran will soon unveil a new maritime patrol aircraft designed and manufactured by Iranian experts, Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said.

 

The domestically-built maritime patrol aircraft is capable of maintaining long flight durations enabling it to keep maritime areas under surveillance via optical and radar subsystems, he said on Monday.

 

Vahidi added that the modern patrol aircraft also have the capacity to load and upload military hardware.

 

The technology is scheduled to be unveiled during the 10-Day Dawn celebrations (Feb 1-11), marking the 34th anniversary of the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution.
