Iran Actress Wins Henri Langlois Award

Cultural Heritage News: Renowned Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed-Aria has been awarded at the 2012 edition of Annual Prix Henri Langlois+s International Awards in France.

 

Motamed-Aria won the actress award of the Cinema of the World category for her life time endeavor in promotion of cinema and maintenance of professional cultural values.

 

Born in 1961, Motamed-Aria has received many national and international awards including the Best Actress Award of the 2011 Montreal Film Festival in Canada.

 

Once Forever (1993), Blue-Veiled (1995), Gilaneh (2004) and Here without Me (2011) are some of the memorable films she starred in.

 

Winners of the 7th Henri Langlois Awards were honored during a ceremony held at the Vincennes International Festival in the French capital of Paris on January 30.

 

The Henri Awards are presented annually to actors, directors, technicians or those in the film industry. The awards are named in honor of Henri Langlois, co-founder of the Cinematheque Francaise and also the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF).
