(MNA) – The new Iranian parliament issued a strongly-worded statement on Monday condemning the savage killing of people especially children by terrorists in Syria.

The communiqué which was signed by 248 lawmakers called on the UN Security Council to prevent the shipment of arms and sending of terrorists to Syria through some neighboring countries.

“The killing of people in Homs in Syria reminds to the mind the ruthless crimes of Zionists in Sabra and Shatilla, and is a clear example of terrorist activities and massacre at this point of human history,” part of the statement.

The responsibility of this crime in which 33 children were killed falls on Western countries which openly and secretly support terrorists and help them to infiltrate into Syria through some neighboring countries.

“We as representatives of the Iranian people strongly condemn this savage crime and want the Security Council to prevent the dispatch of terrorists and (shipment) of arms to Syria,” MPs stated.
