The deputy chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces has said that Israel will in fact put an end to its life if it attacks the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Now the Islamic Revolution enjoys great potential and if the Zionist regime wants to take any action against us, it will sign the end of its life,” Major General Mostafa Izadi told the Persian service of the Fars News agency in an interview published on Saturday.

He added, “Undoubtedly they (the Zionists) cannot do any harm to the revolution and the system.”

The major general went on to say that a “small group” of Hezbollah combatants, who are “like” Iranian Basijis, defeated Israel in the 33-day war in 2006.

Iran has the upper hand on open seas

Commenting on Iran’s military capabilities, Izadi said that Iranian naval forces have the upper hand on the open seas.

He also said, “Our situation in terms of missile capabilities is highly satisfactory.”

“In addition to our military capabilities, we possess other capabilities, and the Islamic Republic has great facilities and resources which are not comparable with those of the fake Zionist regime,” stated Izadi, the former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps ground forces.

“If they want to act on a logical equation, their threats (can be considered) psychological warfare, and if they want to act illogically, they will certainly face defeat,” he said, adding that the Islamic Republic is fully prepared to “respond to threats with threats.”
