Airborne forces of IRGC, Army to hold war games

 (MNA) – The airborne forces of the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces will hold joint military drills by the end of the current Iranian calendar year, Army Commander Ahmad Reza Pourdastan has announced.

The Iranian calendar year ends on March 20, 2013.

Pourdastan also said that the Army and the IRGC Ground Forces will hold another joint war game in southeast Iran by the end of the year, the Tehran Times reported on Tuesday.

The commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbia Anti-Aircraft Base also announced on Saturday that Iran plans to stage air defense maneuvers in the next calendar month of Mehr (September 22-October 21).
