(FNA)- ISIL's number one in Afghanistan was killed in an airstrike in the country's Eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday.

Abu Saeed Khan Orkuzi was killed in a drone attack in Achin region of Nangarhar province, local sources said.

Last week, another senior ISIL leader known as Shahidullah Shahid was killed in the drone attack in Nangarhar province.

The ISIL conducted their first major attack against Afghan civilians in April, killing 35 people in a suicide bombing.

Last year, Shahid was fired as Pakistani Taliban spokesman after pledging allegiance to the ISIL. At the time the Taliban of Pakistan said that Shahidullah Shahid was a 'nom de guerre' and that his real name was Sheikh Maqbool.

On Saturday, 30 militants were killed in an airstrike in Nangarhar province.

A militant hideout came under airstrike in Shashpar Pikhi area of Achin District, Spokesman for the police headquarters of Nangarhar Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal said in a statement.

Achin has been one of the hot spots for Taliban and the newly emerged group of militants that goes by the name of ISIL.
