Iranian MPs to ban entry of US, UK reporters supporting sanctions against country

Seyyed Naser Mousavi-Largani announced the news during an open session of parliament on Sunday without providing any further details, Press TV reported.

The United States, under former US President Donald Trump, imposed several rounds of illegal sanctions on Iran, primarily targeting the Iranian nation. Trump unilaterally pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal in 2018.

Iranian officials have called the sanctions “economic terrorism” for disrupting the people’s livelihood and “medical terrorism” for hindering people’s access to certain medicines and healthcare services, particularly during the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease.

In a letter on Wednesday, the Iranian Judiciary’s High Council for Human Rights (HCHR) highlighted the case of 31 Iranian children who succumbed to epidermolysis bullosa (EB) and mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) diseases as a result of the sanctions.

Last October, the HCHR said despite US claims that humanitarian affairs are not covered by sanctions, blocking financial transactions between Iran and the world has practically obstructed the importation of humanitarian articles and drugs used to treat people with serious diseases.
