A fundamental transformation has taken place in Iran’s international relations since the beginning of the incumbent administration’s term in office, among the dimensions of which is President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi’s important visit to Moscow.

Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber made the remarks in an address to a Wednesday cabinet meeting, adding the administration has received numerous requests for dispatching Iranian officials to other states.

“At present, Iran’s relations with neighbors are reflecting a progressing and very good trend.”

The Iranian president arrived in Moscow on Wednesday on a two-day visit at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Raeisi, who held talks with Putin later on Wednesday, is expected to address the plenary session of the Duma – the lower house of the Russian parliament – and attend separate meetings with Iranian nationals in Russia and Russian businessmen.

Upon his arrival in Moscow, Raeisi was welcomed by Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Grigoryevich Shulginov and Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov.
