Behind the bloodsheds in Iraq

The distasteful event of terrorist attack to holy shrine of Askary imams, one of many unpleasant vents in Muslim countries, needs realistic analysis. The events happening in muslim world these days cannot be overlooked.

In the past few months Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Pakistan have witnessed painful tensions behind which the role of invaders and local ignorance that is highly sought by them can be traced.

 Sedition of dispute between Shiite and Sunnite, urban battles of Palestinian groups in the small self-governed areas, violent crisis in Lebanon, controversies caused between Iran and Arab world by some Arab leaders and even arousing Shiite clergies in Iran and the region are all signs of an unpleasant event.

These events are often in line with civil wars, terrorism, racial and tribal violence in these countries and dark clouds of ignorance are moving above them. There are two very important points here: one, the positions taken by Muslim governments and clergies; two, the role of invaders in ending these problems and critical conditions.

 Undoubtedly, the positions Shiite clergies take, which are based on their true purpose and perception of present needs and the necessity to support Iraqi government against trouble makers and challenge the role of colonists in the region, are very important. Ever since Shiite started playing an important role in fighting colonization and reviving the lost identity of Muslim nation, sedations were started against this potential capacity.

The day Shiite started making efforts to put an end to the presence of invaders in Afghanistan; ever since Shiite revived the dignity of Muslim and Arab nation in Lebanon and ever since Shiite requested a role in a democratic way in countries such as Iraq, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, conspiracies of non – regional powers were planned relying on the ignorance of the countries of the region.

Now Iraqi government and Shiite and Sunnite clergies are facing an important political problem and wise and precise actions based on Islamic principles are the best way to encounter this phenomenon and they ought to show the unity and strong connection between Iraqi government and people through a fundamental movement.

 Presence of invaders has imposed unpleasant impacts. Invasion of Iraq by Bush’s government created political, economic, security and living crisis. Although Bush’s government accomplished the purpose of collapsing Saddam Hussein’s government, its unrealistic goals such as exporting democracy to middle-east remained unreachable.

 This war had no result except for regional and international crisis for Iraq’s neighbors and also the Republican government of the US. America has to accept the facts in Iraq. They did not have coordinated plans for the collapsing of Saddam’s government. Today the fact is that the US does not know how to put an end to the condition in Iraq.

Americans started the war but had a purposeless stay afterwards. They have no plans for evacuating Iraq and this is the main issue of the crisis. If the US wants to show its good will and support civil society in Iraq, they ought to take regional parameters and Iraq’s neighbors into consideration.

 Americans could not reach a unanimous agreement themselves about their policies in Iraq and only pursued their political benefits. The US ought to change strategy in Iraq and show more flexibility in their talks to Iran and build trust so that they can use Iran’s exceptional potentials to control the crisis in the region and prepare their evacuation chart instead of insisting on policies that have failed.

 Americans should revise their paradoxical policies towards Al-Qaida and Bath party clarify their position regarding supporting the security service of Iraq and against growth of the terrorist group of Al-Qaida.

The only way to control the crisis in Iraq is to be realistic and determine long-term benefits. American leaders’ and decision makers’ pride will just end in more complicated conditions in Iraq, otherwise the only result insisting on failed policies can have for the US is losing their reputation.

In such situation, countries of the region can have a great role in controlling catastrophic plans of foreigners if they act wisely.
