Principlista Carta. That could be a flowery term for the communiqué released by two old-timer clerical institutions whose words could once shake the Iranian political stage. But as their leaders and members enter the eighth decade of their lives, goes into decline their influence. What is called Principlism in Iranian politics today (‘conservatism’ by foreign media) is –at least on its pro-Ahmadinejad side- gradually dispensing from the clerical institution. The 3 to 1 font size ratio chosen by Resalat (conservative) and Vatan-e Emrooz (pro-Ahmadinejad) is perhaps self-explanatory.
