The aftershock of Ahmadinejad’s abrupt decision to merge 4*2 ministries, and his sudden dismissal (or as Ahmadinejad himself preferred to call it, ‘end of mission’) of three ministers from the would-be-merged ministries, occupied the front page of Tehran’s newspapers today. Ahmadinejad’s former minister of interior Mostafa Pourmohammadi disclosed illegal economic activities by the ‘Astray Current’ inside the government, a euphemism to describe Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei and his coterie.
