In a decision made by the Minister of Health –and said to be known by only a few officials inside the ministry before execution- Iran University of Medical Sciences was abruptly dissolved on Saturday; its departments and staff planned to be integrated with Tehran University and Shahid Beheshti University medical schools. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s day had an economic flavor yesterday: he disclosed the approximate amount of Iran’s Forex reserves, and appeared on television to reassure worried Iranian citizens about the Purposeful Subsidies Plan.
