Tehran’s Daily Newspaper Review
Speaker of the Guardian Council reported on the conclusions of the special task force formed to settle disputes between Majles, the government, and Council of Expediency Discernment (chaired by Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani). The most important part of the report was the task force’s conclusion that the president has the right to issue a warning to other powers in case of a violation of the Constitution. In a tribute ceremony for philanthropists funding marriage, Ahmadinejad made typical promises: the younger generation will have no worries about employment in two years and housing will no longer be an issue by the end of the Tenth Administration’s term.
