Comprehensive Agreement Possible in One Step

-The positions of Iran and the US do not contradict each other and, as the Supreme Leader has stated, Iran and the P5+1 could reach an agreement in one step and it seems that the US officials have the same opinion about this issue.

-What the Supreme Leader says is that when an agreement is reached on the framework, then reaching an agreement on the details would not be difficult. Therefore, the prolongation of negotiations should not allow leverages of outside pressures to deviate the path of negotiations and make an agreement difficult.

-Following an agreement on the framework and general issues, Israel, regional countries and opposition groups inside the US will make great efforts to create obstacles in the details of this deal. Thus, it seems necessary for both sides to reach an agreement in one step in order to prevent further problems.

-US officials have said in Vienna-8 that a political agreement must first be reached. When both parties reach an agreement on general issues, then reaching an agreement on details will not be difficult and deputy ministers will then be able to continue the negotiations. Hence, it seems that the political agreement is the basis and main issue for the US officials.

-John Kerry has stated in his latest interview with NBC that if a political agreement is not reached by late March, the negotiations will not continue. Therefore, it seems that the US officials also do not agree with the prolongation of negotiations in order to prevent outside pressures.

-On this basis, it would be possible to reach an agreement in one step if Iran and the P5+1 show their political will.
